The most widely used lesbian pride flag in the world. A five-stripe design in dark orange, light orange, white, pink, and dark rose, created by taqwomen (Catherine Becker) on July 25, 2018, as a simplification of Emily Gwen's seven-stripe orange-pink design. The flag emerged from the official-lesbian-flag Tumblr poll, a community selection process that sought to replace the controversial lipstick lesbian flag with a design inclusive of butch, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming lesbians. Its five stripes represent gender nonconformity, community, unique relationships to womanhood, serenity, and femininity.
