A pride flag for grayromantic identity. The dominant 2014 design is most often credited in community wikis to Tumblr user lesbiandoe, dated on or before September 22, 2014, but the attribution is disputed. The Library.LGBT pride flag guide explicitly states that the origins of the greyromantic design are unknown. [GRAYRO-S2] The LGBTQIA+ Wiki credits lesbiandoe but its own primary-adjacent citation points to a Wayback capture of a post on a different Tumblr handle (a shades-of-grayro reblog of a lesbiangamora post). The handles do not match, the capture is from 2024 rather than 2014, and the lesbiandoe Tumblr that does exist does not host a grayromantic flag in the visible record. [GRAYRO-S1] The design is consistently described in secondary sources as a recolor of Milith Rusignuolo's graysexual flag, substituting the aromantic pride flag's green palette for graysexual's purple. A separate earlier Grey-Aromantic flag was proposed by Tumblr user elodiefay on or before June 12, 2014, predating the dominant 2014 design by approximately three months; that earlier flag is a distinct artifact and is not described further here.
