An emblem-based flag featuring a gold phoenix on a maroon field overlaid with a black-and-white checkered pattern. Designed in 1999 by Sean Campbell, the same graphic designer who created the Labrys Lesbian Flag, and first published in the June 2000 Pride edition of the Palm Springs Gay and Lesbian Times. Largely superseded in active drag-community use by Veranda L'Ni's 2016 Drag Pride Flag, but historically significant as the earliest documented drag-community flag.
